Drama, as part of the curriculum, allows students to explore their creative and inner selves through dramatic expression and performing arts related activities.

Mentone Grammar has developed a fine reputation for our highly professional and entertaining productions. Each year many students are involved in performing arts of some variety.

The productions offered by Mentone Grammar give students the chance to develop performance and stagecraft skills, and audiences the chance to enjoy the talents of these students.  Activities for students include acting, direction, stage management, lighting, and sound.

Previous productions have included Dimboola, Guys and Dolls, Pirates of Penzance, Face to Face, Oliver, The King and I, A Thousand Cranes, Bugsy Malone and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (modern interpretation).

Middle and Senior school productions in 2010 are Alice in Wonderland and Beauty and the Beast.
