Mentone Grammar helps meet the childcare needs of its families through a reasonably priced before and after school care program for its young students.
- Before School Care is available from 8am.
- After School Care is available from 3pm to 6pm.
Before School Care
Early Learning Centre
The children in the Mary Jones Early Learning Centre Pre-Prep Classes gather in one space for Before School Care. The children should be signed into either Mrs. Chislett’s or Mr. Morrish’s alternating from one week to another.
Students in the Kindergarten classrooms with Mrs. Richardson and Ms Hanson should at present continue to be signed into their home rooms at all times.
The cost of Before School Care in the Mary Jones Early Learning Centre is $5 for children arriving between 8am and 8:30am and $3 for children arriving between 8:30am and 9am. Prompt payment on days of use is appreciated. Please note that this is not a specific program, but a child care time prior to our classes beginning at 9am. Our Before School Care service is continually being reviewed.
Junior students
Children in the P-4 classes who access the Before School Program should note that it currently takes place in the Finlay Anderson Library on Monday and Friday from 8am-8:30am at a cost of $3 per child. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday all children arriving at school before 8:30am are to attend activities in the gym. NO students in Eblana are to arrive before 8am and remain unsupervised in the school yard or buildings. Parents may wish to supervise their own children, otherwise they are to report to the designated Before School Care venue. Access to the P-4 classrooms is not before 8:30am.
