Extraordinary Success for Mentone Grammar VCE Visual Arts

Congratulations to Nina Alston, Tom Goodman, Harry Kingston, Arabella Scanlon and Imogen Schwarz on being shortlisted for the NGV Top Arts Exhibition 2019 and Alleisha Stephens being shortlisted for Top Designs 2019

This is a huge achievement by Nina, Harry, Arabella, Imogen, Tom and Alleisha to be shortlisted for these exhibitions at the NGV and Melbourne Museum, considering thousands of applications are received by the selection panel. They will deliver their artworks for the final selection process mid-December and we should know early in 2019 if their work will be included in the Season of Excellence

All three Visual Art VCE subjects have been represented for short listing. Nina Alston, VCE Art; Harry Kingston, VCE Art; Arabella Scanlon, VCE Art; Imogen Schwarz, VCE Art; Tom Goodman, VCE Studio Arts; Alleisha Stephens, VCE, Visual Communication Design; which has never been achieved at Mentone Grammar.

Top Arts is an exhibition of photography, drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics, film and printmaking produced by VCE Art and VCE Studio Arts students, held at The Ian Potter Centre, National Gallery Victoria (NGV). Top Designs is an exhibition of Media, Product Design, and Technology, Theatre Studies, Systems Engineering, Visual Communication Design and VCE VET studies held at the Melbourne Museum.
