Each year The Mentonians Association host a lunch with the international students at Mentone Grammar to celebrate the Lunar New Year. This lunch is open to all international students, parents, guardians and/or homestay parents. This year's lunch was a huge success and we thank King Yuen Restaurant in Mentone for accommodating us so well!

The Mentonians Association again subsidised First Aid and CPR courses for all Alumni and Club members on Tuesday 24 February. Keep checking our web page for further courses.

What a great tradition! The Mentonians' Association host a fabulous barbecue lunch at the School's camp site right on the beach at Shoreham. There's always kids activities including a jumping castle, animal farm, pony rides and Miss Elodie's caravan selling coffee, soft-drink, ice-creams and other treats. This picnic is open to all of the Mentone Grammar community, particularly the new families.

And what a fabulous day it was! The weather was perfect for a beach swim and the kids had a ball! With over 280 people, Miss Elodie's coffee and ice-cream van was doing a great trade! The ponies and farm animals gave the kids hours of entertainment while the parents relaxed under the shade of the large trees around the property.

We look forward to hosting the picnic again in 2020!

Our Short Film Festivals are supported by enthusiastic actors, directors and filmmakers. Representatives from each submission introduce their film to the audience and give a unique insight into the message behind the making of their film. 2019's Film Festival is on track to be bigger and better in the unique Mary Jones Studio Theatre space, so to all enthusiasts or already established filmmakers, get filming!

Okay, so it's not the most exciting event, but it is a necessity when running a successful Association! We make the best of it, so after the formalities, enjoy canapés and drinks with our members.

This years' Annual General Meeting will be held in the Greenways Campus at Mentone Grammar, 63 Venice Street, Melbourne on Wednesday 31 July 2019 at 7pm.

The words "Once a Mentonian, always a Mentonian" are never truer than when attending this special lunch. Each year Alumni from the 1940's through to the mid 1970's (and partners) return to Mentone Grammar to enjoy our complimentary Friends of Frogmore Lunch. We have a theme or guest speaker at the lunch, along with good food, good company, nostalgic photographs and the opportunity to share memories with schoolmates and life-long friends.

*Alumni are automatically invited to this luncheon following their 40-year reunion.

Mentone Grammar and The Mentonians Association are proud to host and celebrate the 50 Year Golden Reunion with members of the Class of 1969 and their partners. A special complimentary dinner to celebrate this milestone will be held at Woodlands Golf Club. Contact your school friends and save the date now! To book click here or for further information contact email Suzanne Ashley.

Presented by our Cadets and Year 5 & 6 students, The Mentonians Association annually host a Remembrance Day Service on the grounds outside Frogmore House. Remembrance Day gives us an opportunity to stop and remember those men and women who died and suffered in the service of our country. Each year, we especially remember those Mentonians who gave their lives in order that we may live in peace. Click on the Mentone Grammar Roll of Honour to read more.

Mentonians and their family members are invited to join us in 2019 and enjoy morning tea with fellow alumni and friends after the Service. Further details will be posted in mid 2019.

It's quiet without you ...

Mentonians are most welcome to join the Mentone Grammar School Community for the annual Service of Lessons and Carols held at St Paul’s Cathedral. This traditional and very moving Service includes several Christmas hymns played on the Cathedral’s very fine pipe organ (built in 1890, by T.C. Lewis, Brixton, London) by Mr Lewis Plumridge (1963),  Director of Music at Mentone Grammar from 1982-2008. Further details will be posted later in 2019.
