AGSV Girls Cross Country Premiership

Mentone Grammar's rich sporting history continues to go from strength to strength due to our Coaching Academy. Last week, the girls AGSV Cross Country team won the 2017 Cross Country Premiership, with a comfortable lead over Peninsula Grammar of 413- 477. (Lowest score wins)

Earlier this year, Mentone Grammar employed Craig Mottram and company elitewellbeing as Program Manager and Senior Coach of Athletics and Cross Country.

As one of Australia’s best-known athletes of the last 15 years, Craig’s career highlights include placing third in the 5000m event at the 2005 World Championships. He ran in four consecutive Olympic Games, the first as a 20-year-old at the 2000 Sydney Games, through to the 2012 London Games. He won a Silver medal at the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne and Gold at the 2006 Athens World Cup meet in the 3000m.

We are very proud of our girls for their outstanding achievement in Cross Country, and all students for their efforts in the Winter AGSV Competition.
