VCE Results 2018

Outstanding people. Outstanding results.

Mentone Grammar celebrates the graduating Class of 2018 for the outstanding young people they have become, and the outstanding VCE achievements which reflect this.

34% of students achieved ATARs over 90, placing them in the Top 10% of Australia and 63% of students achieved ATARs over 80, placing them in the Top 20% of Australia. The Median ATAR was 84.73 and the school celebrates joint duxes, Alexandra Siedle (Head Prefect) and Wencong Wu (International Captain). We are particularly proud that history has been made today with our first ever female dux. Congratulations to Alex for leaving such a significant legacy on our School.

Principal, Mr Mal Cater, said it is yet another year of academic excellence which the students should take great pride in.

“The exceptional results that our students have achieved this year are an exciting accomplishment to celebrate. Over and above this, what I celebrate most is the outstanding young people they have become.

“Each and every one of our students has something to be really proud of today. They have achieved such a great deal across so many different areas of their schooling and personal development. This is what matters most as they enter the workforce and make meaningful contributions to our society,” Mr Cater said.

On results day, Mentone Grammar invited their entire cohort to come together for a celebration morning tea on campus. “Everything these students have achieved has been achieved together, supporting and encouraging one another. They have such close bonds with each other and their Teachers, so it is really important that we can all be together to celebrate,” Mr Cater said.

“Thank you to our teaching staff, our families and wider Mentone Grammar Community for the incredible support you have provided these students. It is evident that our environment has an enormous impact on developing happy, healthy and high achieving young people.”
