Matthew Finnis was appointed to the School Board in 2025. He is an accomplished CEO and Non‑Executive Director known for values‑led leadership, high integrity, and securing long‑term growth with enduring legacy outcomes. He brings a distinctive breadth of experience across high‑performance sport, commercial enterprise, and the NFP landscape in both executive and non‑executive roles.

He is an articulate and inclusive leader, recognised for his combination of strategic vision, financial acumen, and a strong track record in building strategic partnerships with stakeholders, grounded in shared value creation.

Matthew is currently the CEO of the Cranlana Centre for Ethical Leadership. His other prominent roles have included CEO at St Kilda Football Club, CEO / GM Operations at the AFL Players’ Association, and Lawyer at Lander & Rogers / Rigby Cooke.
