Our Bayside Campus

We are very fortunate to be a school by the bay, which enables us to integrate our local beach into many avenues of learning.

Students in our Early Learning Centre love learning through our Beach Experience Program, which immerses them in our local environment as they explore, investigate and play. These sessions teach our students about the vast array of marine creatures, the importance of water safety, sustainability and how human choices impact our environment.

Students are also shown how the Indigenous community utilise the local environment, only taking what they need, and replenishing the area so that the land is always respected.

Across each Campus, our teachers make the most of our idyllic location, by taking lessons on the beach including mindfulness beach walks, sustainability groups, beach clean-ups, snorkeling, and sailing lessons, just to name a few. We also have a partnership with the Mordialloc Lifesaving Club, where our students have the opportunity to earn their Bronze Medallion and get involved in a wide range of lifesaving courses.

The Shoreham Experience

In addition to our Mentone site, the School’s three-hectare R.M. Sykes beachfront property at Shoreham on the Mornington Peninsula is the perfect location for our recreational camps and off-campus programs.

Wonderful Opportunities

Students engage in leadership programs and team building, as well as studying environmental and marine studies in the Shoreham Learning Centre.

Students across the year levels spend time at Shoreham from day trips for our younger students to our Year 7 week-long camp at the start of the year, providing a wonderful opportunity for students to spend quality time getting to know each other.
