Andy Müller

Principal

Andy commenced as Principal of Mentone Grammar in 2024 and is an experienced and respected educational leader with a proven ability to develop and lead highly performing teams.

His previous role was Principal of Scotch Oakburn College in Launceston for almost 11 years and prior to that was Deputy Principal of St Leonard’s College in Melbourne. Andy has held teaching and leadership roles in education for over 30 years, including senior positions at Scotch College in Melbourne and experience teaching in the UK.

Andy has always been student focussed and collegial in his leadership, assisting to support a vibrant School community with equal attention to academic learning, wellbeing and co-curricular endeavour. He places a strong emphasis on character development and the value of a broad-based education in the development of exceptional young people.

Before education, he worked in industrial chemistry and then in administration in Melbourne’s bid to host the 1996 Olympic Games. Outside the classroom, Andy enjoys coaching sporting teams and has led a range of expeditions, including to Nepal.
