TOP Class DRAMA CONCERT 2O23
Mentonian Drama students, Dominique Doig and Phoebe Palmer (Class of 2022) captivated the judges at the 2023 Top Class Drama auditions in January and have been invited to perform at the Top Class Drama Concert, which is to be held at the Malthouse Theatre on Friday 17 March 2023.
The 2023 Top Class Drama Concert presents performances by students who have received outstanding grades for their 2022 VCE performance examinations. Selected students are invited to showcase their original and/or scripted dramatic monologues, demonstrating their imagination and originality as emerging actors. Those watching the concert will see Dominique’s original work based on the stimulus ‘The Emcee from Cabaret’ and Phoebe’s original work based on the stimulus ‘Mrs Lovett from Sweeney Todd’.
Drama Teacher, Jamie McCarney says, “This continues an excellent tradition of Mentone Grammar Drama students being featured in the top ranking students in the State, and is the 3rd year in a row that our students have featured in this showcase.”
